In the heart of Chester County lies Marsh Creek State Park, complete with biking trails, public pool, hiking trails, horse back riding, electric and sail boating plus fishing. Outdoor enthusiasts can also visit Valley Forge National Park, for an American history lesson as well as riding trails, kite flying, hiking, biking, roller blading, and picnics.

Residents and visitors to Chester County are only 45 minutes from historic downtown Philadelphia, which offers a wide range of museums, shopping, entertainment or site seeing, including the oldest Zoological Garden in the country, Fairmount Park, Veterans Stadium - Home of the Eagles and Phillies, and the Core States Center and Spectrum - Home of the 76ers and Flyers.

Philadelphia is also known for it's health care facilities and teaching hospitals which include Wills Eye Hospital, Children's Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University hospitals.

  • New York City, where you could enjoy a Broadway show accompanied by great shopping,
    eating, museums or site seeing.
  • Baltimore, soak up the sun at the Inner Harbor, or take in an Orioles game at Camden Yards.

  • Washington, DC., enjoy the Smithsonian Institute, Washington Monument, the Capitol building, Arlington Cemetery or one of the famous memorials.
  • Atlantic City, New Jersey, enjoy a day on one of the beautiful beaches the area offers, deep sea fishing, surfing, water skiing, or visiting the East Coast Gambling headquarters.

    Chester County residents also enjoy close proximity to The Poconos, where one can indulge in skiing in the wintertime, or lake and stream fishing, camping, whitewater rafting and golfing in the spring and summer.

    Fun for the young at heart is just around the corner, too. Spend a day at Six Flags Great Adventure and drive through Safari Park, or visit the "Chocolate Capital", Hershey Amusement Park and Chocolate Factory, or Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom in Allentown.
